Wild Earth Illuminations is the vision and creation of photographer Shane McDermott, through the use of light and glass he tells his story and shares his concerns, what ensues is an exquisite celebratory dance with the radiant natural world. Through inspiring images, it is the intent of Wild Earth Illuminations to educate and motivate veiwers to actively participate in the recovery and conservation of the planet of which we are a part of.

So long as we remain disconnected from the "Body of Nature", ignorant to it's dynamic plays of Force and Form we shall continue to preceive it as a separate entity from the "Body of Humanity", and thus expendable without consequence. Ultimately how each of us chooses to interact, honor and respect the natural world or not, manifests in a direct reflection of our relationship to ourselves, others and all of nature.

With 6.8 billion people inhabiting this planet, our mere presence demands our participation and the acknowledgment of our essential role in re-establishing harmony and balance to the body of nature and all it's inhabitants. As the effectuating authority and self appointed Guardians of the natural world we then must hold ourselves responsible to the puissant understanding and cohesive preservation of all it's resources.

Wild Earth Illumination wishes to become a deep source of knowledge and inspiration, encouraging all who are interested to consciously engage in the restoration and celebration of our earthly sanctum and it's abundant forms of God given life.
